Job Overview:

As an Onsite Computer Technician, you will be responsible for providing hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for computer systems, hardware, and software at client locations. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

-Technical Support: Provide onsite technical support and troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.

  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computer systems and software to ensure optimal performance.

  • Installation: Install and configure hardware, software, and network components according to client requirements.

  • Diagnostics: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, including operating system errors, application problems, and connectivity issues.

  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients and addressing their technical concerns.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, and inventory of equipment.

  • Network Support: Assist in network setup and troubleshooting, including cabling and connectivity issues.

  • Training: Provide basic training to clients on the use of hardware and software as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: Proven experience as an onsite computer technician or similar role.

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.

  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Customer Service: Outstanding customer service skills and a client-focused attitude.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move computer equipment and peripherals.
