IT Technology Support

OBJECTIVE:
Technology Support is a position hired by AAMA to oversee and maintain its computer hardware and software systems. Their skills are a valuable asset to the school, as they assist in resolving technical issues related to the school's computers and software. This position involves installing and configuring software and computer systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues with software or hardware. You may be called upon to assist faculty or staff in resolving technical issues with their computers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implement a plan for repairing or replacing computers and other forms of technology.
- Provide technical support, identifying, investigating, and resolving users' problems with software/hardware.
- Collaborate with other employees to research and resolve computer-related issues.
- Display the ability to program computers and software effectively.
- Understand basic computer components and have the skills necessary to repair or replace as needed.
- Show knowledge of inventory control to ensure that necessary parts are available.
- Maintain knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
- Set up and configure new equipment for the school.
- Diagnose issues when computers or other technologies are not working as they should.
- Perform routine maintenance on computer and network systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
PROFESSIONALISM:
- Be punctual and available during official working hours.
- Comply with AAMA policies, standards, rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Take precautions to protect equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Participate responsibly in the school's improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in network management and help desk support.
- Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain an accurate inventory of computer equipment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: Associate degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science.
- Preferred: Support Technician Certification.
- Required: Valid driver's license.
