Manager, Financial Compliance & Government Contract Accounting
Our client seeks a knowledgeable Accounting Manager to oversee financial compliance, invoicing, and reporting for their organization's government and commercial contracts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing complex accounting processes while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage complex contracts for compliance, ensuring accurate documentation and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements, including government accounting standards.
• Handle submission of key financial reports, such as ICS, CSE, and SEFA, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee and reconcile monthly billing, revenue recognition, and cost share journal entries in compliance with ASC 606.
• Supervise and mentor billing employee, providing guidance on contract terms and invoicing procedures.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and ensure proper documentation for all related procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; active CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years of supervisory/mentorship responsibility.
• Expertise in government contract billing (ICS, CSE, SEFA), related regulations, SOX compliance, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems in a SOX environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple complex contracts simultaneously.

Salary: $140k-$155k (DOE) + Bonus
