Position Summary

Preparation and analysis of the financial reporting for Plains All American Pipeline, L.P.'s joint ventures to their respective members and to the FERC and preparation and analysis of FERC filings for other entities. Assistance with certain technical accounting areas.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Manager of Joint Ventures and Regulatory Reporting and the Manager of Technical Accounting.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with the coordination of monthly, quarterly and annual joint venture GAAP reporting process and annual audit process with auditors
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements for the joint venture entities for distribution to the members
  • Preparation of annual audited GAAP financial statements for the joint venture entities
  • Preparation of FERC financial statements for the respective joint venture entities, where applicable and for other consolidated entities
  • Assistance with accounting for certain technical accounting areas
  • Preparation of balance sheet, income statement and cash flow analysis
  • Analyze the results of operations of the joint ventures and communicates causes of variances from anticipated results and prior year results
  • Preparation of periodic reports to government entities


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting required
  • 1-2 years of public accounting and/or financial accounting/reporting experience preferred
  • GAAP knowledge required
  • Certified Public Accounting license is preferred
  • Experience within or general understanding of the midstream oil and gas industry is preferred

  • Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.
