Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring timely and accurate billing/invoicing activities and performance.
- Organize, assign, delegate, and coordinate the billing team workload to ensure accuracy while meeting objectives and deadlines, timely responses to all inquiries, and compliance with department policies, practices, and procedures
- Collaborate with other internal teammates, including Controllers, VP Sales, BAMS, District Managers, Branch Managers, and National Operations.
- Effectively prioritize a large volume of billing and adjustments to meet strict month-end close deadlines with minimal to no errors.
- Develop & Improve billing checklists that correlate directly with the needs of the billing team.
- Monitor reports to validate billing accuracy and completeness, and work to improve the department KPIs, including days to bill and credit/rebill percentages.
- Continuously work on improvements to billing policies, procedures, and guidelines based on analysis of root cause and corrective actions for billing issues.
- Interact with IT & Finance to try and improve department/systems/tools
- Adherence to auditing policies and procedures in all areas of responsibility assigned by the compliance division.
- Coordinate with HR regarding employee performance and development
- Coordinate with Recruiters regarding staffing
- Promote morale, organize employee recognition and celebrations
- Ensure cross-training/documentation, oversee days off to ensure coverage
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Three to five (3 - 5) years of experience as a Supervisor in Billing or Accounting.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience managing, mentoring, and developing a team
- Strong leadership skills, high level integrity, confidentiality, and work ethic.
- Expert proficiency with MS Office and specifically, Excel; knowledge of ERP platforms (Oracle preferred), Salesforce, experience in data analysis
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and results-oriented
- Ability to work independently in a challenging and dynamic environment
- Highly analytical with an aptitude to think critically
