To succeed as the Controller, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience in financial management and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and applying mathematical concepts to real-world business scenarios.
- Solid knowledge of Yardi, Microsoft Suite, and financial management software for accurate reporting and data analysis.
- Experience in real estate accounting, property management, or a related field, with a deep understanding of financial regulations and best practices.
As the Controller, you will direct the organization's financial activities, performing the following duties:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
- Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and performance analyses to support business decisions and real estate investments.
- Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and financial risks to maintain liquidity and financial stability.
- Ensure timely tax filings, regulatory compliance, and effective tax strategies in coordination with external professionals.
- Supervise accounting staff, enhance internal controls, and optimize financial systems for efficiency.
