The Juniper Security Engineer will provide hands-on management and maintenance of various Juniper security technologies that need to be integrated into the corporate environment as a result of acquisition.

Location: Houston, TX will consider travel

Responsibilities:

1. Integrate a Juniper environment with an existing Cisco environment.
2. Perform daily management and maintenance of:

• Juniper SRX240 Routing Firewalls
• SSL VPN
• Switching and routing

Work with all application teams to ensure that the rules they need to work on the firewall are submitted and documented properly.

Responsible for documentation of all firewall rules in the enterprise.

Collaborate with Information Security in mitigation and remediation of all firewall audit findings.

Ensure Operational teams are following configuration guidelines.

Qualifications:

1. Experience commensurate with 4+ years:

• Hands-on experience administering Juniper SRX 240 routing firewalls and VPN.
• Experience with Juniper Network Security Manager (NSM).
• Expertise in routing protocols over VPN and NAT'ing.
• Advanced log analysis, network monitoring, network flow analysis, packet capture analysis, network proxies, firewalls.
• Solid knowledge of all core internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, etc).
• Process and detail-oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with SRX and SSG Netscreens and SA's for remote access is nice to have.

Desired Education:

High School or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
